Are neocons gearing up for an anti-China campaign?

I've been seeing more articles like this lately, as our politicians have to hate somebody. It seems like it's a quick shift from Putin to China. Not sure the left is doing the same thing, they may be stuck in America at least due to Russian collusion stories.

Anyway, does anybody have any thoughts on this?

Maybe there is something of a pattern here:

1) Republicans call for war, do everything to crank up the war machine on an external threat

2) Democrats get excited because they get to act like hippies and protest the war, use media control to drown out the Republicans

3) Democrats have a highly energized voting block now, this is what they live for, and take office...Republicans fear monger a bit, and claimed being "stabbed in the back" by democrats which hampered war effort

4) Democrats seize power and "democratize" the war and now it's a "good war", most intellectual and mainstream media apparatus supports democrats and uses Orwellian language for anti-war sentiment. The left loves a war / revolution as much if not more than the next guy. And even if the Republicans picked a target that we didn't necessarily go to war with (Russia, every Dictator in the Middle East not aligned with Saudi Arabia or Israel) they certainly going to let a perfectly good foreign demonization go to waste.

5) Republicans kind of sort of protest Democratic war mongering.

6) Republicans choose a new Target

7) Democrats call them fear mongers , fascists, homophobes, sexists, racists, imperialists, and war mongers....rinse wash, repeat
